Do I have to have a resale certificate? Yes, a Texas HOA Resale Certificate is mandated document by the Texas Property Code that discloses fees, assessments, rules, litigation, budgetary restrictions and general information for the HOA.

What do HOA assessments cover? Assessments are used to maintain common areas & amenities, pay applicable taxes & fees, support community events and more.

What happens if I do not pay my assessments? Failure to pay assessments leads to late fees and collection actions that can result in attorney and court fees. A judgement from a court is recorded with the county which may affect your mortgage and future ability to sell.

Do I have to get ARC/ ACC approval for an addition to my home? Yes, exterior changes to your home must first be approved by the committee to ensure that all restrictions and requirements of the governing documents are being met. The staff at Tejas are happy to walk through the process with you and help submit your request.

Are meetings for board members only? No. All meetings are open to the public with notice provided to membership of upcoming meetings. The board does have the right to enter into an executive session that is closed to the public, all decisions and voting must be done in a public forum.

Do I have to pay my assessments online? No. Assessments may be paid online for a processing fee that is disclosed prior to your payment being processed. Payments may also be made in person or via mail with check, money order, or cashier’s check. Payments made online with a credit card are charged a 2.9% fee and those made with a routing and account number are charged a $1.00 fee.

Where do I find the governing documents for my HOA? HOA documents may be found on the Library Page. Member only documents are found on the Pay HOA portal for your HOA and can be downloaded to your computer. Printed copies are available in office for a fee.

How do I report a streetlight not working? Outages may be reported to our office with a location or pole number provided, you may also report directly to Oncor for service and direct follow up.

How do I report a concern or request maintenance? Reports/ requests may be made through your owner portal on Pay HOA or directly to the office via email to frontdesk@tejashoamgmt.com.
